Congratulations Josephine Falco and Ashley Wood

February 19, 2020 //  by Body Corp

It’s Capitol’s 25th year in business and we have an exciting announcement to kick off the year. We congratulate both Josephine Falco, Founding Director and Ashley Wood, Executive Director who have recently announced their well-deserved retirement.

Jospehine Falco

Ashley Wood

Capitol would not be the place it is without these incredible and pioneering women. With Josephine’s vision and Ashley’s passion for people, Capitol is a strong business built on authentic values and a great team. Josephine established Capitol in 1995 with one body corporate that we continue to manage to this day – a reflection on Josephine’s legacy and the spirit of Capitol.

Capitol’s vision is to create happy, healthy and harmonious communities and Josephine and Ashley have been pivotal in developing this through a unique philosophy and culture within the Capitol team. We are united by that culture of encouragement and teamwork to deliver the best for our clients.

What does the future hold?

While Josephine and Ashley are off travelling and enjoying time with their grandchildren, Ian D’Arcy will continue as Capitol’s Managing Director. Our Team Leaders will take on greater responsibility as part of the senior management team. We look forward to taking the business further and celebrating such an important milestone this year whilst excited to be elevating our team members in leadership roles.

To enable the retirement of Josephine and Ashley the Directors of Capitol undertook a comprehensive succession planning review. It was critical to find a partner that shared in the vision for our business, and more importantly lived and breathed similar values. As a result we are very pleased that the majority ownership of Capitol has been sold to the Bright & Duggan Group who are owned by the Bright & Duggan family and their new partners the Johns Lyng Group (JLG).

Who is the Bright & Duggan Group?

Bright & Duggan is the #4 player in the national strata market. The Bright & Duggan Group currently owns five strata and facilities brands across NSW, VIC, ACT and QLD. Much like Capitol, Bright & Duggan started out as a family business in 1977 and continues to be led by members of the those families. They bring a breadth of capacity, innovation and support to allow Capitol to continue to excel at serving our clients.

About Johns Lyng Group (JLG)

JLG is a market leading integrated building services group delivering building and restoration services across Australia. JLG’s core business is built on its ability to rebuild and restore a variety of properties and contents after damage by insurable events, including responding to major weather events and catastrophes across Australia.

The Group established 65 years ago was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in late 2017.

What changes for you?

Nothing. It is business as usual at Capitol. We will continue to operate as we previously have and provide all of our clients with the experience and service that you have come to expect from us. We look forward to continuing our relationship with you now and into the future.
