Our Biggest Year Yet: Capitol Annual ACT for Kids Trivia Night 2021

Since 2014, Capitol Body Corporate Administration has hosted an annual Trivia Night to raise much needed funds for our chosen charity – Act for Kids.

Our Trivia Night has been getting bigger and better each year, with this year being our biggest yet with almost 250 participants. Take that Covid-19!

We would like to take this time to share with you (in case you aren’t aware), that Ian D’Arcy our Managing Director at Capitol, supports Act for Kids by funding our annual Trivia Night in full, with 100% of all your sponsorship, donations and proceeds raised, going directly to Act for Kids, to help keep kids safe, heal from trauma and lead happy lives. What a guy huh?

Capitol is also proud to be a Silver Sponsor for Act for Kids.

Here’s the FUN part…

On Saturday 16th October 2021, after much anxiety and anticipation over whether or not our event would proceed due to Covid-19 messing with us and the weather wreaking havoc on the day, the Capitol fundraising Committee, with the support of our very generous sponsors pulled off an amazing 80s Prom Night themed Trivia Night not to forget! The crowning glory is that we raised a total of $46,879.20 from the trivia night alone, which we are proud to donate to Act for Kids. This money will provide much needed funding for more than 5 families, who are in need of Act for Kids help and services. WOW!!!! We have no words….. only goosebumps!?!?!

On a lighter note, everyone had so much fun participating in our trivia night and extra games – heads n tails, bottle toss, and horse racing. Once again CONGRATULATIONS to all of our winners of the games and raffles prizes, with an extra-large CONGRATULATIONS to our winning Trivia Team – Let’s Get Quizzical, whose team was made up of our Diamond Sponsors from CHU, woohoo! We also can’t forget our awesome crowned Prom King and Queen of the night – Daniel and Lauren Green from Greeny’s Plumbing Solutions, who were also one of our Diamond Sponsors on the night.

The night got even better, with our personalised 80s themed chocolate bars from Favour Perfect, because everyone deserved a sweet treat from us!

Also, to Thomas McIntyre – the Executive Director of Service Strategy Development and Growth at Act for Kids, as our guest speaker and cheque recipient on the night.

So much hard work, man-hours, and effort go into organising an event like this, and we also couldn’t have produced such a wonderful night without our Capitol fundraising Committee who all volunteer their own time to do this – Amanda Green, Cristina D’Arcy, Fallon McHugh, Jacinda Randle, Kalico Taylor, Julie MacCarthy, and Rebecca Hamilton.
