Ian’s expertise is in assisting developers and their lawyers to address all potential body corporate issues at an early stage. This process is designed to ensure that the body corporate can run smoothly from the outset, thereby providing value to the potential unit owners.

Ian also has experience with assisting bodies corporate and committees with dispute resolution and recognising situations that pose a threat of potential dispute. Working with committees and bodies corporate to deal with their issues can avoid the cost and angst that is involved with disputes.

Career Highlights

Elected as a Board Member of the Community Titles Institute of Qld Ltd in 2005.

Qualifications

• Practiced as a solicitor for 19 years.

• CTIQ Member for 10 years.

When not at work

Ian enjoys playing golf and tennis and watching all codes of football, in particular AFL.

Specific Role with Capitol

Development Director, which entails working with developers and their lawyers to advise on body corporate-related issues at all stages of the development leading up to registration of the scheme.

Assisting other Community Relationship Managers on our team, with legal issues and solving problems that may arise, and confront the bodies corporate within the Capitol portfolio.
